Day 3

BM had to stay in the hotel when we went out to settle other stuff like check out Mr Liow's colleague's place to see what he has to pass to us for our new home, other supermarkets etc where we can get our supplies from etc.

When we came back, there was a note on our door saying that they hope we'd keep our dog quiet so that they can get some peace.

Mr Liow and I more or less saw that coming.

Frankly, the sound proofing here is alry much better than HDB flats in Singapore. But we could still hear them from outside. Muffled barking but I guess to people here, it's still audible. We felt bad. Bad for our neighbours and for BM.

They'd usually bark for abt 5-10mins after we leave home, and then go on to their usual routine. Here, we are not sure if they barked long or just that usual 5-10mins. And they bark too when they play. I really have no idea how bad the barking was.

There are still more stuff to be done in the next few days. We had to get our military passes done tomorrow. And mr Liow had to go for his driving license conversion test.

I felt really worried and restricted in that we have no home of our own, and no car. We can't bring the furkids out as and when we like coz we're still being driven around. :( Hoping Mr Liow can get his license soon so that we can drive them out. Even if they can't go everywhere with us, they can at least leave the hotel with us.

We've decided to put them in doggie day care centre. Will bring them out early with us to base to get our passes done, and then start looking for a decent pet care centre. Please pray for discernment to find one that they will like, and be safe at.

I found 2 brands of kibbles here that are highly rated in Singapore. Blue and Wellness. And kibbles are really really cheap here. Not only kibbles. Everything for doggies are cheap. From dog beds to treats and toys... hee.

Went to see our new home today. We didn't step in our own. We visited Mr Liow's colleague's home (the one just next to ours). His colleague's wife did up their home so well. It's so cosy!! I love the layout of the house. I'm going to like staying in there. Looking forward to the day we get out house.

The colleagues here are so nice and welcoming. AN hasn't had proper meals for the last few days. One of his colleague's wife actually made porridge for her and got her hubby to deliver it to our hotel. It was Oyster porridge with carrots! They knew we had a slow cooker for AN but no transformer so she even packed in with her food, a transformer for us to use on the slow cooker. That's just soooooooo sweet!

It's really warm to have colleagues who are so nice. I really am grateful. Pray that we'll have time to do something in return for their kindness once we've settled in. They'll be leaving in June. Hope we'll be in time to get smoething done for them.
