Greetings from Sonoran Terrace, Home for the next 2 years!

What we have seen thru pictures months back, it's now in reality, our home.

Mr Liow was supposed to have the meeting at Mesa till abt 6pm on Tuesday but the meeting, by the Grace of God, ended earlier than expected so he rushed back to the hotel, and then rushed me to Sonoran Terrace to sign the papers so that we could move in by Wednesday (yesterday).

Edwin came to fetch AN and I in the morning yesterday and helped us shift in.

We finally have a home! No furnitures yet tho. Those will start coming in on Saturday.

It's car collection day tomorrow!

Photoupdating back from our stay at Holiday Inn Express ;) Holiday Inn is easily way way WAY better than Country Inn, and it's cheaper! I enjoyed my stay there. It's a pity we rushed to check out and I didn't have time to take pictures of our room.

Here goes:
Our 1st day at Holiday In Express. We had fast food "In and Out" to go (take away) to have at the inn. They noticed AN in the car (we ordered from the drive thru) and gave her stickers. Itchy finger mummy, me, stuck a few on AN's face. I shouldn't have coz when I tried to peel them off, AN cried. They were stickier than I expected. *oops*

See? AN's hair had grown longer. Long enough for a little tail. Some call that a ponytail but for AN, I thought it looked more like a pigtail. hee.

After signing the documents on Tuesday, we couldn't help dropping by our home with the newly collected keys. hehe.

Entrance to our home. We've been blessed with a mesh gate! Most units do not come with a gate (unless a previous owner had one installed) let alone a mesh gate. After driving around the estate, it seemed like ours is the only unit with a mesh gate! Thank God for that! He knows I fear creepy crawlies and gave us a mesh gate. hee.
Our spacious living room. We resolve to keep the living room as spacious as possible and not allow clutters to form in the 2 yrs that we will be here.

Fireplace at the living room. There's one in the masterbed room as well. Cool hor? But we were warned that fairys (flies and such) creep in from the chimney so we may wish to seal it up (with cardboards). We'll think about it. We don't have a fireplace-s in Singapore. Will like to try setting it up during winter to have a feel of how it's like.

Stairs to the rooms upstairs.

Our room with a balcony!

Our toilet with 2 sinks. Ample space for me to spread out my makeup stuff when (and if) I still have time to do makeup.
Our open concept kitchen. I'm really thankful to have found ST. Most of the apartments are mostly carpeted, even the dining area. Here, we have a large area of tiled flooring, from the entrance, to the dining area, to the kitchen! AN will be learning to feed herself anytime soon and it's going to be MESSY!! I can't imagine how tedious it's going to be cleaning up after her when she drops food and sauces and soup on carpeted floor.

Not only that, in our absence, we can gate BM within that area (away from the carpet to avoid unnecessary accidents. Although they no longer have accidents on carpets, it's better to be safe than sorry.) That area is definately good to keep BM in (from the toilet area right up to the other corner of the kitchen) since it's so spacious it's not even fair to say we are confining them. hee!

From the outside, this is our home: Unit 1074 ;)

Car porch! Not a garage as we initially thought but good too!! At least I need not worry about creepy crawlies entering the house thru its garage. Mr Liow likes to imagine 2 cars parking outside our home, one of which belongs to me. Dear, please do not pin too high hopes on me hor. I may end up NOT driving at all, even if I do get my license. hehe.

A welcome gift from the management of ST

Something sweet to start our landlord-tenant relationship

Since the furniture we bought over from Edwin will only be coming in on Saturday, we got an airbed to sleep on for the few nights till we have a proper bed to sleep on. hehe.

We've also gotten a microwave oven. It's never been as indispensable as now! For only 2 weeks, we've grown to become very dependent on a microwave oven. hee. No time to cook, nevermind! Put a pack of frozen food in, and within minutes, a nice meal appears.

And about the weather here, it's about as hot as Singapore now. The only difference is that it's so dry here! My lips are constantly cracking, and now my skin's starting to peel...I've been busy making sure AN's lips doesn't look dry (an indication that she's dehydrated) and that she's constantly getting moisturised (I rather my skin crack than hers!).

My poor leg..

Lastly, AN is getting up on her feet more often now. She likes to walk. hehe. She's now 3wks past her 1st b'day. Time that she learns to walk. For walking, she needs to put on shoes and a space among us, to place her shoes.

She's now able to walk slowly with support by us holding either of her hands. She can walk rather steadily now if we hold both her hands. She enjoys climbing up the stairs, which is dangerous. So just this morning, we bought a baby gate to put a stop to her newly found hobby.

Many more things to do. Mr Liow has already planned for some stuff to happen around our home and garden area. Will take more pictures when 'works' get started.

I'm supposed to start studying for my driving test from Sat onwards. Please pray the old brain still works well enough to pass a theory test and active enough to respond to driving a car and avoiding accidents.

Thank God for His provision!
