I've had a good weekend. Activities were the same with nowhere to go except grocery shopping and all but it was good anyway.
The weather has gotten better since last week. It's not been any hotter than 95 Deg F (35 Deg C. It had been worse, ok?) for the whole week and was even cool during the weekends. Temperature ranged around 80 Deg F (abt 27 Deg C) since Saturday and into mid 70s yesterday. It was even cooler in the evenings, which was nice! The sun was still strong tho, so as long as we stayed in the shade, it was cool. The moment we step into sunlight, erm...
Saturday
Went for a birthday party organised by 2 of Mr Liow's 'men' and had a good time chatting with a pilot's wife whose girl is 21 mths old (3 mths AN's senior). She mentioned that she could see a big difference in the behaviour of her girl after she started bringing her to classes. The little girl has become more outgoing and even more expressive. They've weekly gatherings with the other wives and kids and the girl had always been at ease with people but she got very tensed up when they were in the classes. Since she started attending classes weekly, she's since loosen up and is no longer as tensed as she 1st started out to be.
I'm all the more determined to get my driving license after chatting with her. It's really going to do AN much better to get out more than be at home whole day, except for her daily estate walk.
Sunday
I received in my email, coupons for Baileys & Maen's stuff, so I bought them...ok, shall let do their own updating.
After hauling food and treats for the furkids, we hauled more clothes for AN. Can never resist getting more clothes for AN each time we head to Foothill Mall. You can never stop shopping for baby girls coz they are simply to cute to walk away from, but then again, you can also never stop shopping for baby boys coz their clothes and stuff are no less adorable, seriously. hehe!
AN's shopping was necessary since the weather is starting to turn cooler.
Monday
Mr Liow is on afternoon shift again this week, so I managed to finally perform my hair trimming skills (or lack of) on him.
From certain angles, his hair cut looked like a disaster. Yet at times, they looked like they were done professionally. Can anyone advise me on how to use a hair shaver? It was by faith that Mr Liow asked for my 'professionalism' in keeping his hair short today. I've not done any reading up or practicising, not even imagining how to use the shaver on his hair before I did it on him!
I believe he is now the centre of everyone's joke as I'm typing this.
The landscapers finally came after we visited the management office again this morning. They chopped the Bougainvilla really short, and pulled out a plant that resembled weeds more than a plant (that was where the snake disappeared behind and that plant can certainly hide many more snakes without us knowing. It's basically a BUSH of WEEDS).
NOW, we can start thinking what we want to plant in our garden. That previous plant we tried planting were overcomed and went to heaven.
Both Mr Liow and I are happier with a barren garden than a garden full of weeds and a plant full of thorns.
It's a sign of hope for a more beautiful garden to come (provided the new plants or flowers do not perish during the approaching fall). Plus I can let BM explore the garden, and do their business there if they want, without fearing that there might be snakes behind the big bush of weeds, or get pricked by the Bougainvilla plant.
As for AN's potty training, coz it was a weekend, and we were not home whole day long, she only managed to pee in the potty once during Saturday evening. That was it. No hurry, and we'll continue training together.
Last but not least, I'm really thrilled the little human monster is also my little helper. She pulls out LOTS of baby wipes everyday, which I will then have to stuff back into the container after her. With each session of wipes-wasting, she will not fail to fully utilise one piece to help me clean whatever that's within her reach. She's only imitating me but I should say, she's really detailed and cleans very well. Dusty areas which are under her care are hardly dusty anymore. hehe.
