Potty Training Update

Updated 9pm:

I decided to post this separately coz of this end of the day update.

AN had her afternoon nap without diapers on. She insisted on not wearing diapers, so I let her be. In case she peed in her sleep, I put a waterproof layer under her.

The waterproof layer was dry, as was the blanket, when she awoke. I felt her bum for any signs of bedwetting and found a tiny patch of dampness. It wasn't wet, just damp and it was this little patch, as if she held back after a little came out. I don't know it that was it, just felt like it happened that way.

I made her sit on the potty right after she woke up and she went.

We went out for dinner and she visited the toilet (coward me kept asking if she needed to pee and she said no till she really felt the urge to).

Daytime had been great except for the nap.

Once we reached home after dinner (abt half an hr ago), we got ready for Mr Liow's haircut and forgot about AN for a short while. Mr Liow did ask if she needed to go but she said no.

Soon after she kept repeating: "Mummy wet wet!" She peed in her pants and was a little embarrassed. We went: "It's ok, don't worry." and kept reassuring her that one accident was no big deal.

I think we overdid the reassuring coz she got a little frightened and asked for diapers.

By the time I finished shaving Mr Liow's hair and felt her diapers, she had gone in it again.

Shouldn't have made such a big fuss out of the accident just now.

Hope tomorrow will be another good day. AN agreed to going without diapers again tomorrow. Am praying she will not feel too stressed up over it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've started since a long time ago but bad mummy me has never put in enough effort. I didn't want to rush her and with the information I read, when she's ready, she's ready.
Abt a month ago, I put her on panties and tried allowing her to wet herself to speed up the process. She was already 29 months old and I thought girls learnt faster than boys. Reports say that some kids start at 18mths and may be ready by 3 years old. I did not expect AN to take it so slowly.
By doing so (taking diapers away), I think I scared her off potty. She wet herself almost 10 times that day (sofa covers, blankies and all), did not pee when I put her on potty and peed soon after she put her panties back on. For the next few days after that, she refused to sit on the potty.
Lately she showed signs of readiness. She refused diapers, held her pee longer till the next time I reminded her to go to the potty. A few times she even told me she needed to pee when we were at Gymboree. She still goes in her diapers sometimes when I get too busy to remind her but she's slowly improving. She does, once in a while, remember to take initiative to do it on the potty.
She's able to inform me about her bowel movements by now, so she doesn't poop in her diapers now.
We're left with the pee.
She's not wearing diapers from morning and it's 12pm now. Twice she went to pee by herself without me reminding her. So far so good, no accidents yet.
Seems almost like she was never going to be off diapers. I pray it'll be soon she starts wearing panties. I'm going to get her all sorts of cute cute panties when she is totally off diapers! hehe. She's wearing Lady & the Tramp now. Really cute, and they make her want to wear panties instead of diapers. They help motivate her. hehe.
