Christmas Party

Ronald and family invited us and a few other families to his place again, this time for a Christmas Party.

It was fun as usual but we forgot the camera! Mr Liow has a couple of pictures in his phone but it's just that few pictures, what a pity.

AN enjoyed herself better than she did the few times before. As usual, the favourite jie jies (elder sisters) came over to make friends and it took her very little time to warm up this time. Before I knew it, she was sliding down the sofa and giggling happily with Danielle (Ronald's younger girl).

And this time, Kaitlyn (Ronald's elder daughter) had more time to make friends with AN before her buddies reached and she would have to keep the elder girls entertained.

Kaitlyn is a very sensible girl. Her mum said she's very good with little children and she was right. AN actually talked to Kaitlyn ("WOW").

There was a gift exchange and she was the one who organised the program. She labelled the gifts and the gift exchange was 'lucky draw' like. Each child draws an alphabet and gets the gift tagged with corresponding letter.

Someone bought a extremely GIANT bear and only one child will get to receive it. This time, all the kids had to queue to get the folded little piece of paper with a marking on it to get the bear.

The line started with the youngest to the eldest. AN was the youngest there...and she got the bear. It was quite disappointing for the other kids in line. We felt quite bad about it.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention Kaitlyn made the colourful Kuey Lapis (It's a nonya dessert that's layered and each layer is of a different colour). Tasted good! I'm put to shame...for the almost 2 years I've been here, all I can make is the regular lunch and dinner.

I promise if we get to come again in future, and provided the kids are grown up enough to be in school, I will learn to make all those goodies.

AN was tired and a little cranky by the end of the party. It was really fun and I am thankful for the elder girls who have been such good help with AN :)

AN enjoyed herself cooking for me before I tucked into a real meal.

Here's AN with Danielle. AN is tasting Christmas candy for the 1st time, thus the wierd expression. She loved it and finished a whole stick. We were praying against sugar rush, and thank God she didn't go hyper after that one stick.

The kids waiting excitedly for the gift exchange but before that, everyone had to smile for the official camera.

Take 2 and all are still looking grumpy except for Danielle
