Once selfish, always selfish??

It's probably really just me having a problem with selfish thoughts and acts and people who THINK ONLY THE BEST OF THEMSELVES!

We can close an eye to selfishness. What I can't stand is seeing someone behaving like the most selfish person in the world, yet tell me "I have many friends because I am 'anything' with people." or "It's ok la. Chin Chye lor. Human cannot be so selfish one." or about a family member, "She definately does not take after me. I where got so selfish?"

Ok, maybe my problem is more clearly about one practising double standard??

Part 1
"Oi! Your dogs poop on the floor and are stepping all over! And don't let them out coz their paws are dirty!"

I don't need anyone to help me pick up poop coz I understand poop is disgusting. At least, keep the dogs away, or let them out before they stepped on it? (She tells us she loves BM...my parents tell us that they do not like BM. Yet you see my parents pick up doggy poop no matter how disgusted they are!! Talk about being sacrificial acts and the 'noble-ness of a mother' all the time..I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE NOBLE-NESS IS LEH?? I must be blind.)

Not just once...It happened twice.

Glad I saw it the 1st time and let the dogs out before they stepped on their own poop.

2nd time, too late by the time I saw them.

They (actually....only BAILEYS!!!!!) stepped on the poop and walked all over the kitchen.

To be fair to the furkids, they hardly poop outside the toilet, unless there's no space left on the papers inside.

Again, I'm thankful Mr Liow allowed me to vent my anger about it. I was fuming MAD coz if she's truly disgusted by poop, how is she able to sit in the kitchen having breakfast with the whole kitchen stinking of lau sai???

Part 2

A simple request to bring baby clothings back for Mr Liow's cousins's kids (a couple of the closer ones).

A vehement refusal.

An update that one of the cousins work where it's convenient for stuff to be collected.

The same vehement refusal, insisting that these cousins do not buy things for AN and we need not do that. Once upon a time, Mr Liow's friends bought AN a romper frm States and brought it to our place. She commented "huh...so stingy, buy only one.."

It was the thought that counts and they could have NOT gotten AN anything.

Same reason why we did not choose to get little gifts for RELATIVES (mind you!! Not someone unrelated to her!!) because we receive anything from them...

Why did anyone unrelated to her, help bring stuff back for her once upon a time? WHY CAN'T SHE SEE??

No 2 people with such conflicting ideas can live together in peace....I'm glad I need not, and I really hope I never need to...

In case you wonder if I'll miss her when she leaves, I will. But I am glad we do not LIVE together.

I can't live with selfish people. Boy am I glad Mr Liow did not inherit that trait.
