I had been having contractions from about 30th weeks. It didn't feel much from the start but as the weeks progressed, the contractions got stronger, and increasingly frequent. These contractions do not come accompanied with cramps (except for days when I get random tummyaches that may or not happen at the same time I feel contractions) but it felt uncomfy.
Haven't felt much contractions when I was expecting AN, maybe coz it was my first time, or maybe coz those contractions were not strong enough for me to take notice.
Was glad I'm on ventolin now. Dr Henry said these contractions, as they increase in frequency and intensity, may trigger labour. In my case coz these are happening a little earlier than preferred, it's safer to rely on these pills.
I'll be seeing him again this Fri. Can't wait to meet Ethan again. Well, this may jolly well be the last time we see him on the monitor before we hold him in person soon. Hehe.
AN is excited and had been asking every other day if Ethan will be popping 'today'. She's a real sweet sister, hugging and kissing my tummy often, attempting to flip my tshirt high enough to show others my big belly and then start talking about her little brother. When he kicks me or moves about, she'll speak to him, asking him to behave himself inside and not cause mummy so much pain. Sometimes when I'm hugging her and she feels him, she'll smile and tell me Ethan touched her.
I pray AN will not feel too much rivalry when he comes. We've been reassuring her of our love regardless of the new addition when he finally comes. She's been acting and speaking like a baby lately. In fact, there are times she simply makes sounds and points, and refuses to speak properly. It does get a little irritating but what to do? It seems rather common among kids of friends to behave as such pending arrival of their new siblings. We just have to bear with it.
