Exciting Weekend

Friday night when AN said she wanted to take a picture with her little brother Ethan
Belly of a WHALE!

Like what we've been doing for the past few weekends (except that one weekend when the kids needed to do some revision), we dropped AN at my SIL's place for her to play with her cousins last Sat and then went back to Fernvale to wait for the washer & dryer delivery, clean up and unpack.

It was a long but fruitful day. Mr Liow managed to open up almost 10 boxes (and maybe more!) while I did some cleaning (it gets real dusty even though we go back to clean up every week!) and put the kiddos' clothes into drawers and their wardrobe. The mess just keeps getting better each week! And we just realised I bought a LOT of things for Baileys and Maen!! So much so that we have a problem finding somewhere to store their stuff. Uh-oh...

Next up was Maxonline and Starhub cable TV services that we needed. We took AN to Comex yesterday against all odds and managed to get our services all lined up after a WHOLE LONG DAY.

The wait was ridiculous! Mr Liow queued for an hour just to get 'registered' for a queue number! We were wondering if we should continue waiting because if it can take an hour to register us, how long more will we have to wait to get things done! But if we do not wait, the hour would have been in vain. And there wasn't much perks to make us wait further actually. There was only a $30 Robinsons voucher for signing up at the roadshow -_____-" The other goodies would be the same as those at Starhub centres.

We decided to continue waiting coz AN fell asleep after all the waiting for registration.

We got to see a salesperson to sign up for Maxonline and SCV about 2 hours later and then left for Tampines to have our digital voice transferred to MR Liow's name so that we can apply for hub club and enjoy further discounts off our mobile and the other services, and a free home line.

BUT we weren't able to have our digital voice transferred to Mr Liow's name after waiting another hour to see a customer service staff because ours was a digital voice GOBAL, not HOME! The customer service staff who was helping us was so kind as to help us get a queue number (a shorter waiting time) over at Starhub centre over at the other end and request for waiver of activation charges for the lack of information we got at the roadshow out of her own initiation. That was sooooo nice of her!

And then because we weren't sure if we were given a voice enabled modem or a simple cable modem for our internet, Mr Liow had to go back to the car to check, else we will have to wait for Starhub to arrange to have our modem changed and that will take a few more days.

Mr Liow was tired, and very cranky by then coz of all the waiting (we've been with Starhub at different locations from morning till late evening and all those long hours of waiting!) and he said he will explode if anyone gives him any more wrong information. hehe.

Poor thing. He's been overworking since we came back, not just from work-work, but from settling things regarding our home as well.

We'll be arranging for our bed to come in next Sat and the sofa to be in next next Sat. Window grilles can only be fixed on the 16th Sept I think. We pray Ethan will not have arrived by then. Guess I'll continue to take my ventolin beyond 37th week so that we have more time to prepare. I was hoping he'll come by 37th week coz he'll not be too large for me to push out if he remains inside any longer. Still, it's going to be better for him to stay in there for as long as he legally is allowed to.

That's all for this weekend. Looking forward to the next!
