Photos Part 1: Los Angeles

Pictures finally uploaded!

Link to the summary of our trip here

Since there will be MANY pictures to come, they will not be as large as I always post them. I understand it's gets irritating as you scroll to find endless pictures sometimes. hee. Smaller pictures takes lesser scrolls mah. May still get irritating..oh well. hee.

Click to enlarge if interested :)

Keeping AN occupied on the long way there. Mr Liow got her a DVD player -______-". Doting father hor? Didn't seem to work well although it did keep her happy for..10mins? She was a little overstimulated by the shows and got cranky when she was sleepy yet couldn't go to sleep. Think she hated long drives.

California!!

We saw LOTS of windmill-looking gadgets like these on the way to our hotel. Wonder what those are for.
Castle Inn

After MIL touched down, we took her to Chinatown for lunch. This is an interesting sight. hehe. Obama vs Sun Yat Sen.

MIL with a cheeky AN in Chinatown

Us! hehe.

Mr Liow and AN while waiting for the food to come

The next morning before heading to Disneyland, we had breakfast at Denny's.

This is sooooo....familiar! Far East Plaza. hahah! Free parking somemore...impossible right?

Did they really shoot Rush Hour there?

AN started to reject food again and threw a fit in the restaurant. She was fine as soon as they got outside.

Disneyland, here we come!
There was High School Musical 'Chingay' in progress the moment we arrived.

And then we saw Stitch. erm...maybe more like AN saw Stitch.
And Minnie Mouse. AN was so fascinated by those characters.

I love Minnie. hehe.

Here in Hollywood..

A family picture

Through the eyes of a bug: It's a Bug's Life!
Piggybacking on a cute caterpillar. I like its cheeks! hmm..AN will look cuter with cheeks like this.

We're going on a journey...5 bugs?
I'm lousy with names but this is one of the characters of the cartoon.

Inside the ant-hole

We were waiting for the 3D show to start. The show was a little scary (giant spiders dropping from the ceiling, sudden loud sounds and all), and AN got frightened at a point when there was a loud 'boom'. Thereafter she was fine and got really fascinated by the show. She even found the hanging spiders interesting and tried to reach her hands out to touch them. eeks...
More andom photos of the colourful park!

While AN slept, we had lunch.
And then we went for some Grizzly Bear Rafting ride leaving the sleeping baby with MIL.

This is what we got for leaving AN behind.
We were in the midst of 'rafting' when AN woke up. Check out her various expressions seeing an unfamiliar nai nai (grandma).
That was only the 2nd day they met after the 7months of separation, thus the distance. MIL said AN started pointing everywhere after she started bawling. She wanted MIL to bring around her to look for us.

The following was the one we'd been looking forward to and it was our last ride of the day. It's Tower-of-Terror style (where they bring you to the top and drop you), with a haunted house effect. erm...Everything about it was good (the story they make you believe, the 'interior decor', the staff dressed in olden day attires and looking like ghosts etc etc). The drop was fun, but not that thrilling. I quite liked it tho. hee.

Very captivating I must say. hee.

See how 'run-down' the hotel is?

Oh, my mistake. That wasn't our last ride. We took the last ride with MIL and AN. hehe. Monster Inc.
Last photo to wrap the day up with

Day 2 at Disneyland Adventure Park

Tinkerbell and I
The main character: Mickey Mouse

Random sights

You noticed how crowded it was at this park? Moving around with a stroller was a feat, plus there were many other parents with strollers it was like trying to avoid a collision every other minute. hee.

Mr Liow with Mary Poppins and whoever-that-man-is.

MIL & the couple. Whoever-that-man-is has got cute poses. haha!

Joining the seemingly endless queue of The Little World (or is it called the Small Small World?)

oohh...our turn soon!

AN being part of the queue. She now refuses to be carried or sit on the pram unless she's really tired and not over stimulated. The Little World boat ride was interesting. The fussing AN was completely mesmerized by it and MIL loved it as well.

Another 3D show which we could bring AN in to watch with us

While waiting, both father and daughter with the 'yah yah' look.

AN checking out the place, going up and down the stairs refusing help, and making sure I was following closely behind her.

Moving on to Toontown!

The Nightmare Before Christmas, a ride we didn't know what we were queueing more than an hour for, looked eerie enough from the outside and even more disappointing in the inside.

It was just a tour of a haunted house that didn't even scare the little girl ahead of us. Still, it was feast for the eyes (nice decor. hehe).

Happily queueing without knowing what we were queueing for..

Ok, next come photos for Las Vegas. Stay tuned (hehe. It's going to take me another few days to put that one up).

Maen and Baileys and family!

We read your entry, Maen. We also love to see your pictures! :)

What a fun trip and thanks for sharing many images!! It's too bad that only humans were able to go but we're sure what they had a great time makes you two happy.

AN receives beautiful features from her mom and dad. We love the family photos!

Hi momo & pinot!

thanks for the kind comments. We'd love to spend those holidays with them but it's a pity we heard hotels and attractions here are less pet friendly than in Europe. Nevertheless our pawrents promised to try bringing us on short getaways.

Your brudder James is getting cuter each time we see his pictures too!

Don't you feel excited that he'll soon be able to bring you more goodies when he starts to walk? don't laugh, time does fly! Enjoy bonding :)

Love, Baileys & Maen
