Weight gain

AN had put on weight..erm...Dr looked at her growth chart and told us she put on a healthy 600g since the last visit 6 weeks back. Hasn't catched up with the 3% line on the chart but will do well at the rate she's going and in no time be growing along that same line she was on.

Now as I'm typing this, I noticed that there were only 200g of weight gain over the 6 weeks!!!!

400g means a lot to me... :( 200g over 6 wks sounds really little leh...where had all the food gone? She doesn't poop much too...

Where on earth did the PD (Pediatrician!!! Baby doctor...specialist??) find the 600g figure on the single page report she gave to us?

So, is AN still not growing enough? Did she mean to tell us that 200g is good enough? Or did she not realise it was NOT 600g??

I miss Dr Terrance Tan.... :(

Looking on the bright side of things, just today alone, she's taken at least 300mls of milk (may sound little but it's a great achievement for AN!), a baby portion of yogurt, good enough portions of her 3 regular meals.

Mr Liow also pointed out that there is indeed a little difference in the charts we have (that frm Singapore and that from USA). Despite the difference, AN is still undergrowing (even as we compare her against the chart from her Mt A health booklet). She's undergrowing by a tiny bit if we put her on the Singapore chart, and by a major bit looking at the figures from the ang mo chart.

sigh...

So Mr Liow suggested we go with the Singapore chart (to make me feel less worried). Thanks dear! I'll be fine as long as AN doesn't refuse food..

I need to trust God.

One thing to share is, I hardly pray against viruses or health problems coz I always think that if God allows us to be sick, there must be a reason.

Then He showed me that I need not find excuses for Him.

Philippians 4:19-21
And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

By faith and out of desperation (it's no fun taking care of a sick baby...really...) I asked that AN will be free from the flu virus and verbally 'rejected' the virus.

AN got well the 2nd night after I prayed that!

It's Christmas eve in Singapore now. With this testimony, I pray the Lord will richly bless each of you.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

It's the same verse every year, and it's the same God every year, and every month, and every week, and every day, hour, minutes, seconds.

So, Blessed birthday to our Lord Jesus and Blessed Christmas to all.

May the Lord be the reason why you are celebrating this day (^_____^)
